AGSRM Vidyodaya was founded in 2008 under the Amsavalli Educational Trust — named after the grandmother who believed that education transforms lives, and who inspired a single mother to build something lasting.

Our founder, known across Chennai as "Malathi Miss" or "Strict Miss", spent 18 years as Principal at Velammal Vidyodaya School, where she grew the student strength to over 500 and built an institution people still remember. She brought that same dedication, discipline, and warmth to build this school from the ground up — for the children of Alappakkam.
